Instructions
  1. In a medium bowl, dissolve yeast in 1/2 Cup warm water. Stir in 2 Cups flour, 2 Cups warm water, the sugar and salt until smooth with rotary beater. Let stand, 3-5 days covered loosely at room temperature, stirring 3 to 5 times a day. If starter begins to dry, cover more tightly at night to prevent drying.
  2. Add to bread recipe, following recipe directions.
