Crusty White Bread
This bread recipe makes wonderful, quick and easy white bread. I made this for years for my family when my children were growing and still at home and I still make it occasionally. It also makes a great pizza crust and french bread loaves!

Add water, vegetable oil, salt, sugar and yeast to your mixing bowl. Add enough flour (about 4 - 5 cups) to make a soft dough. Turn out onto floured board and knead by hand 10 minutes, adding flour a little at a time as needed and until you have a nice smooth dough. Turn into greased bowl and place in warm place to rise. Allow to double in size. Turn out onto floured board and divide dough into two parts. Shape into loaves, place in one pound loaf pans, cover with a towel and allow to rise is warm place until doubled. Bake at 350° F. 25 minutes or until crust is golden brown and loaves sound hollow when tapped. Remove from oven and cool.
I use my Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer to do all the hard work on my bread recipes. I used to do it by hand and it was a lot more work.
