The picture is sort of what it looks like without the pepperoni laid on top. I’ve made it with and without pepperoni, but my kids always liked it so much better with the pepperoni. Adding other toppings, such as chopped green pepper and olives has proved to be great too. This is a great and nutritious choice for a weeknight dinner. Can be made the night before and refrigerated and pop in the oven just before dinner time!
